FIX:

Follow these steps to create a Progress desktop shortcut:

1) Right click on the Windows desktop.

2) Select 'New' from the popup menu.

3) Select 'Shortcut' from the popup menu.

4) Select the browse button.

5) Locate the Progress executable in the $DLC\bin directory.

6) Click the 'Next' button.

7) Type in a name for this shortcut.

8) Click the 'Finish' button.

9) Right click the newly created shortcut.

10) Select 'Properties' from the popup menu.

11) Select the 'Shortcut' tab.

12) In the 'Start in' field, enter the directory Progress is to use as the default working directory when application is started.

13) The path to the Progress executable shows in the "Target"fill-in box.

14) Add any startup parameters that are required for the application. Separate each parameter with a space. At a minimum, use the -p startup parameter to specify the main program for the application.
