FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows 2000
SYMPTOM(s):
Running Unify ServletExec
AIA is not working on Windows 2000 with Unify ServletExec if using the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine that comes with the default installation.
CAUSE:
When the installation of Unify ServletExec on a Windows 2000 machine is performed, the system checks to see if the Java VM is installed. If it is not installed, then a prompt appears asking if the Microsoft version should be used.
The following is an excerpt of the messages that may appear when attempting to test the AIA using http://hostname/aia/Aia:
Error. The server encountered an unexpected condition
which prevented it from fulfilling the request.
javax.servlet.UnavailableException:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
at com/progress/aia/Aia.processInitException
at com/progress/aia/Aia.init
at
com/unify/ewave/servletexec/ServletExec.CallServletInit
...
FIX:
Install another Java VM and reset the Java VM value using the ServletExec Admin (Under Virtual Machine, Settings, Selected Java VM).
Remember to restart the Web Server before attempting to test the AIA configuration again.
