FACT(s) (Environment):
Oracle DataServer 9.x
SYMPTOM(s):
GPF error on _orasrv, when starting the DataServer broker
GPF occurs when broker is started via Progress Explorer
GPF occurs when broker is started via the oraman utility
CHANGE:
New Oracle DataServer broker added within ubroker.properties file
CAUSE:
The error can occur if the variables ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID are not set correctly for your broker within the ubroker.properties file. When you install Progress, there is a default configuration called orabroker1. This configuration has set variables that might not be correct for your environment.
FIX:
Make sure you have both ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID correctly set within your broker's configuration
