GOAL:

How to export a Query/Results report to a spreadsheet program (for example, Excel).

FIX:

Follow these steps to export a report to a spreadsheet:
1) Open your report.

2) Select export under view (to see what the resulting
file will look like).

3) Under Options, select "standard export".

4) Choose Comma Separated Value (CSV)

5) Choose Custom Export-Field Delimiters.

The first fill-in ('"') places quote mark (")
before and after each text string. You can
delete this if you do not want them to appear in
your export.

6) Choose Custom Export- Field Separators.

This option allows you to set whatever
separates the fields from each other. The default
is (',') which places a comma between fields.
If you apostrophes (') in any of the fields you
Export, do not use this character.

You can select any character you choose but be
careful that this character does not appear in
the report.

If you place( HT )in the fill-in, tabs will
separate the fields in the export.

7) Choose query print to file.

8) When you open the file in Excel, select "delimited
file" and choose the character you used in step 7.
