GOAL:
How to insert page breaks into a report without a reset to the page number counter.
FIX:
For example, a report can be run where each cust-num is on it's own page. This an be done with the following steps:
1) Build your report.
For this example, use the Sports database and the Order
table with the Cust-Num, Order-Num, and Sales-Rep fields.
2) Define a Group Order under the Database heading.
In this example, select Cust-Num.
3) In the record band line, insert a new band line and choose the
Different Type option with the appropriate group footer
selected in the drop-down menu.
a) Select the New Page Line option.
b) Choose 1GF-Cust-Num for the new band line.
4) Define your sort order to place the group's records together
so they will be printed on one page.
a) Choose Sort Order.
b) Define a new sort order using the field you chose to
group by for your sort field.
