GOAL:

This solution discusses the use of multiple clipboards in Progress source editors.

FACT(s) (Environment):

Progress 9.x

FIX:

Progress source editors (Procedure Editor, AppBuilder, Section Editor and Procedure Window) keep a list of the last 15 of most recently used clipboards. CUT (CTRL-X) or COPY (CTRL-C) commands create a clipboard.

The newly-created clipboard can be inserted back into the editor by pressing CTRL-V. The list of clipboards that are currently available can be displayed by using the List Clipboards dialog box. From that dialog box, a clipboard can be selected and its contents pasted into the current edit buffer.

To access the List Clipboards Dialog box in a Progress source editor, follow these steps:

Enter the keyboard command CTRL-ALT-V or ALT-CTRL-V to display the List Clipboards dialog box.
Select a clipboard from up to 15 of the last copies made to the clipboard from within the editor.
Choose OK to paste the contents of that clipboard into the current edit buffer.
