GOAL:
How to redirect users to a static page when database is down?
GOAL:
How to redirect Webspeed errors to a URL page?
GOAL:
How to configure a page to be displayed when the messenger cannot find the NameServer/Broker?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Webspeed 3.1B
FIX:
Starting in WebSpeed 3.1B, users can redirect all users to an HTTP:// page on any error instead of customizing the text of the error message.
This new feature deals with error conditions and how they are handled/displayed to users when a error occurs. The new feature allows developers to display a designated Web page if an error condition arises, in place of standard error messages. Rather than customizing many different error statements, the new feature allows the application to default to a generic and/or customized Web page.
This can be done through the ?WSMAdmin Utility.
1. Select the "Customize Messenger Error Messages" link.
2. Select the radio button for "Use custom URL:" for each error you want to redirect.
3. Add the URL for the STATIC html page you want users to see when there is an error.
This utility can also be used to customize the WS error messages.
