SYMPTOM(s):
GPF or Dr. Watson error when performing an index rebuild on some indexes.
CAUSE:
Entering CTRL-C instead of "!".
The GPF is a Dr. Watson message about the _proutil executable. The error occurs after starting the process of rebuilding one or more index:
_proutil dbname -C idxbuild
When prompted for an option, "Some" was selected. Specifying the table name and index name, when exiting the loop, CTRL-C was pressed instead of the "!".
FIX:
Read the messages that the utility provides. The message instructs the user to specify the "!" when finished entering indexes:
Enter "!" to indicate input is complete. (9176)
