Attempting to connect a 8.x self service client to a Progress 9.x database broker.
There is no server for database <dbname>. (1423)

Cannot find or open file dbname.db, errno = 2. (43)
Unable to read master block, file = <file-name>, errno = <errno>. (6070)
Unable to read master block, file = sports2000, errno = -1. (6070)
CAUSE:
A Progress Version 8.x client cannot connect to a version 9.x database broker, self serving or client/server.
FIX:
If more than one version of Progress is configured on your system ensure the DLC and PATH environment variables are pointing to the correct installation..
