How to View Properties and Methods of MAPI

GOAL:

how to display properties and methods of the Microsoft Messaging Application Program Interface (MAPI) in response to error 5893.

Error: The automation server for <automation object name> is not registered properly.
Please reinstall this server or try registering it again. (5893)

FIX:

Microsoft has released several different object models that provide messaging functionality, the most recent of which are Active Messaging and CDO (1.2x).
In order to display properties and methods, open the corresponding DLL file in the Progress COM Object Viewer tool.

Active Messaging (Now called CDO 1.1)

Active Messaging is installed with the Exchange 5.0 client and server.
The file name is OLEMSG[32].DLL and is available in both 16-bit and 32-bit variants. Microsoft Outlook 97 includes Active Messaging 1.1.

Collaboration Data Objects (CDO 1.2x)

CDO 1.2x is installed with Exchange Server 5.5.
The file name is CDO.DLL. Installation of Microsoft Outlook 98 installs CDO 1.21.
Microsoft Outlook 2000 includes CDO 1.21 as an optional component install.
