This solution applies to Progress SonicMQ Version 2000.x. It explains why you might not see a java client connection in the Progress Explorer

EXPLANATION:

If a java application creates a connection and does not specify a connect ID, the connection is not listed in the Progress Admin or Explorer tools. The connect/disconnect events are also not displayed.

SOLUTION:

Specifiy a connect ID in the java application.
