How to run Report Builder and Report Engine and see the dialog boxes, menus, and layout window in the Spanish, German, or Swedish languages.

FIX:
The strings for a particular language are stored in a resource file called the RBRES32.DLL file. After Progress is installed, the default rbres32.dll that uses English strings is located in the %DLC%\bin directory.
You can point Report Builder and Report Engine to a different resource file using RBLNG environment variable. This variable has to be set at the OS level.
Alternatively, you can overwrite the original file with one from the PROLANG directory.
For example:
- For Spanish:
SET RBLNG = %DLC%\PROLANG\SPA\rbspa32.dll
- For German:
SET RBLNG = %DLC%\PROLANG\GER\rbger32.dll
- For Swedish:
SET RBLNG = %DLC%\PROLANG\SWE\rbswe32.dll
NOTE: To be sure the error and warning messages reflect the language you choose, make sure that the database engine can find the PROMSGS file that corresponds to that language. The database engine uses the same rules for finding the PROMSGS file as does Progress clients.
