(853) clock has gone backwards known bugs
The only known bugs related to the error 853 clock has gone backwards
are as follows:
1) 91-10-31-005. Found 6.2K fixed 7.1B
If you are running a 52 hr job, when daylight savings time has
changed, the error "clock has gone backwards" (853) will occur
and the process will die.
2) No-bug number. Found V5.2I.
There are a few pc manufactures's who at one time put in logic to
have the time changed (foreward/backward) automatically rather
than manually. If you are running PROGRESS when the clocks change
you will receive the 853 error.
This is not a PROGRESS bug and most manufacutures no longer
automatically change the system clocks.
3) no-bug number. found version 5
There is also a known problem found in older machines/operating
systems that have not adjusted to the new daylight savings time
legislature. If you don not set your clocks forward/backwards in
the spring/fall, you may see this error.
