SUMMARY:
This solution applies to all versions of Progress SonicMQ. It explains how to move a broker to a different host.
SOLUTION:
If you want to move a broker to a different machine you should install SonicMQ on the new machine. Then you should move the broker.ini from the original machine to the new machine. You will also need to move the database by using the dbms's dump/load utility (if you are using ORACLE or MS SQL Server) or by copying the database directory (if you are using the embedded Cloudscape database).
You also must move the recovery logs to the broker's new location. It is important that the logs and the database be kept synchronized, so, prior to the move, shut down the broker.
