GOAL:
Can the Progress 9.x SQL92 schema tables (i.e. sysprogress._sys****) be dumped using the Data Dictionary or Data Administration utilities?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Progress 9.x
UNIX
Windows
FIX:
The Progress 9.x SQL92 schema tables can not be dumped using the Progress Data Dictionary or Data Administration utilities. These tables contain datatypes which the Progress 4GL language does not support. If you need to dump the Progress 9.x SQL92 schema tables, you must use the SQL92 utility "sqlschema" with the -g option. This will dump the data in the form of GRANT statements. Then you can load these GRANT statements into a similarly defined database using a SQL92 client such as the Progress SQL Explorer utility.
