SUMMARY:
This solution applies to Progress SonicMQ Version 2000.x Enterprise Edition NFE.
EXPLANATION:
In order for a broker to connect to its configuration server in a
clustering or interbroker configuration with security enabled, the broker's BROKER_NAME and BROKER_PASSWORD properties in its broker.ini
file must match the name and password of a user previously added to the user database, and the user must be a member of the Administrators group.
If the user is not a member of the Administrators group when the
broker attempts to connect to its configuration server, the following
error will appear in the broker's output:
[146] progress.message.broker.EStartupFailure: Could not connect to
ConfigServer at <ConfigServer hostname>:<port>: invalid
username/password.
