Unable to create shared memory <shmname>, error <n>. (1719)
This Kbase relates to: 8.3B Win Intel.
INTRODUCTION:
=============
After you increase the -n (number of users) and -Mn (number of servers) you may get the following error, "Unable to create shared memory <shmname>, error <n>. (1719)" when trying to connect more then the original number of users.
For example: a customer increased the -n from 20 to 40 and -Mn from 4 to 8 he received the above error when trying to connect the 21st user.
SOLUTION
========
Reboot your NT Server. The original settings are not changed "on the fly". The memory requirements of the original configuration is used if you do not reboot.
NB: the same problem can happen if you modify the -B or -L parameter
