In the 9.0X and 9.1A versions of Progress (the current versions as of the writing of this knowledgebase) the ADM2 functions called getUserProperty and setUserProperty are not designed to work when used with a SmartDataObject (SDO) that is split between the client and an AppServer.
An enhancement request has been entered requesting that these functions be enhanced so that they will work in this scenario.
