Kbase 19409: How to Add V8 SmartObject Icons to V9 AppBuilder Palette

If you are using Version 9 and want to continue developing using the Version 8 SmartObjects the following steps show you how to get the Version 8 SmartObject icons to appear in the AppBuilders palette.
1) Select the menu item labeled "Menu" on the Palette window.
2) Select the "Use Custom..." menu item.
At this point a dialog box titled "Use Custom" will appear
3) Click the "Add..." button.
At this point a dialog box titled "Add Custom Object File"
will appear
4) Click the "Files..." button.
At this point a dialog box titled "Find File" will appear
5) Double click the file named "smartv8.cst" (or single click it and
then click the "Open" button).
6) Click the "OK" button on the "Add Customer Object File" dialog
box.
7) Click the "OK" button on the "Use Custom" dialog box.
At this point the palette will be rebuilt and will include the V8
SmartObjects.
8) Select the menu item labeled "Menu" on the Palette window.
9) Select the "Options" menu item.
10) From the "Options" menu item select "Save Palette".
You will now be able to continue developing using V8 SmartObjects in
V9.
