INTRODUCTION:

During the installation of Progress on an HP platform you will encounter that the media for the installation will be specific to your Operating System version.

STEP BY STEP DETAILS:

For Hp version 10.20 and below you will be sent media with seperate directories for your version. When you recieve the media you will notice that it will have two directories, one that reads 10.01 and another that reads 10.10.

If you are running 10.01 you need to run the installtion of Progress from that directory.
If you are running 10.10 OR 10.20 you need to run the installation from the directory that reads 10.10. Notice that there is not a specific directory for version 10.20 of Hp's OS. The directory for 10.10 is for version 10.10 and for 10.20.

For HP version 11 you will need to receive media specific for this version of your OS.

Many of our clients are upgrading to version 11 of HP and believe that the media they used to install on version 10 of HP's OS will allow them to install on version 11, but that is not the case.

You will need to order new media if you are upgrading to version 11 of HP's OS. Please contact your Sales Representative to order this.
