make_dbe converts Single Byte executables and scripts to run in the Double Byte Mode. It
1. Installs all DBCS executables after saving SBCS executables. The saved executables end with .sbcs.
2. Installs DBCS objects of DLC/probuild/asian DBCS directory to DLC/probuild/4gl if Progress ships the DLC/probuild/asian in the tape or media.
Please note differences between V7 and V8 make_dbe
In V8, following files will be renamed
DBE FILES: _mprosrva _progresa _promtfa
INSTALLED FILES: _mprosrv _progres _promtf
In V7, following files will be renamed
DBE FILES: _mprosrva bproa mbproa sqlcppa _proutla _promtfa
INST FILES: _mprosrv bpro mbpro sqlcpp _proutil _promtf
The binaries that support DBE, support them with a single executable.
However, there are some binaries that do not support DBE, like the windows character client.
