Recently, many customers that have gone to Version 9 of Progress have found it necessary to need the Version 8 Utilities to do some maintenance on their database, i.e. truncate the bi file, and the v8dbutils were not installed with their version 9 Progress.
If they did not install Enterprise or Workgroup database, they did not get the utilities. They are not included in a Provision or Provision Plus install.
If they install Enterprise or Workgroup database, there will be a directory /DLC/bin/82dbutils or ?DLC/bin/83dbutils.
The programs they will get are:

progress.cfg
