Dear Beta Customers,
We have created a patch to address a number of issues uncovered during
the beta program. The issues fixed in the patch are listed below.
Further down you will find instructions on how to download the patch to
your beta systems.
If you have any problems or questions, please let me know.

I. CONTENTS OF THE PATCH
1) Fixed XML on HP-UX, Solaris, Solaris Intel platforms
2) Fixed the 0 byte problem with the *.jar and *.cab files used in
Open Client
3) Fixed GPF caused by folder.w 19991206-012
4) Fixed GPF/Prowin32 error caused by compiling some preprocessor
statements 19991101-051
5) Fixed strent error 893 with prolib -makeshared 19991207-006
6) Fixed SQL-92 problem where records are not found when using
indexes 19990923-001
II. DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS
The patch can be downloaded from the Progress ftp site. The FTP site can
be either accessed from a browser or a UNIX client.
Please use the following steps to download the patch from the ftp site:
BROWSER:
1) ftp://customer@ftp.progress.com
2) password = 1lkFun2
3) select the following directory
/customer/outgoing/91a2b01
4) each platform has a separately compiled patch. select the
appropriate platform folder
5) Download the patch
6) Read the Install*.txt file
7) Close the browser window to exit the ftp site.
UNIX:
1) type ftp pscgate.progress.com
2) username: customer
password: 1lkFun2
3) change directory to /customer/outgoing/91A2B01
4) Select the appropriate platform and cd into that directory
5) type "bin"
6) type "get 91A2B01.zip" to download the patch
7) type "get INSTALL-91A2B01.txt" to download install notes
8) type "quit" to exit the FTP site
Note: The readme.txt file in the 91A2B01 parent directory simply lists
the fixes listed above.
