The Following are download and installation instructions for PC patches.

There may be an occasion when the Patch Web Site is unavailable or if a patch needs to be installed from media, rather than a download from the Patch Web Site.
When access to the Patch Web Site is available, go to:
http://www.progress.com/patches/
To access the installation instruction, log into the patch web site. Find the proper platform that Progress is installed on. The Platform section is the column on the far-left side of the page. Then select the Available Patch for the version of Progress in question. This is found in the next column to the right of the Platform column. A single left mouse click will open the page.
If the patch you are seeking is not on the Patch Web Site, please contact technical support to inquire on it's availability.
Once the page is open, scroll down until you find the section of the page that is titled:
"Follow these steps to download this patch."
You will find the installation instructions on option 3 and can access them with a single left mouse click on,
"Read the Download/Install Instructions."
This will open the instructions that are required to install the patch.
Downloading and Installing PROGRESS PC Patches
Note: For the purposes of these instructions, it is assumed that the drive:\directory where PROGRESS has been installed is "C:\DLC."
1. Make a temporary working directory and download the patch archive into it.
2. In the working directory, extract the README.PRO file from the patch archive using a compression utility such as "WinZip." (If you do not have a compression utility available you can download one from a shareware web site.) If you have downloaded a ".exe" self-extracting archive then you can run it and select the "Run WinZip" button, then extract the README.PRO.
3. Read through the entire README.PRO before proceeding.
4. Shut down all PROGRESS processes for the installation you are going to install this patch on. Check with your system administrator if you do not know how to shut down PROGRESS.
5. Backup existing files by following steps 1 & 2 of the INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS in the README.PRO.
6. Extract the patch files from the archive into the C:\DLC. For more detailed information, see the README.PRO.
7. Restart the PROGRESS processes and verify that this patch has fixed any issues as expected. If it has not, restore the backed-up files as described in the README.PRO.
