Invalid argument value - PROTOODBC to SQL Server

If you face this error when running the Schema Migration Tool for ODBC and the target database is SQL Server (6.5 or 7) make sure you are using the parameters:
-Dsrv ASYNC_ENABLE,0,AUTOCOMMIT,1 .
You should set the parameters in the 'ODBC connect parameters' field at 'PROGRESS DB to ODBC Conversion' screen.
If you are connecting to SQL Server 7, you may see another error as well:
s1000:[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server driver]Connection is busy with results for another hstmt
These parameters are required when connecting to SQL Server.
