In Version 9 install notes for UNIX, the only supported platforms are listed, it includes: HP/UX 10.20, HP/UX 11.0, IBM AIX, and Sun Solaris.
With the introduction of 9.0B we dropped support for HP/UX 10.20 and
introduced support for SCO OS 5, SCO Unixware, and Data General
Intel, all of which are supported via the UNIX V.4 port. It took us some additional time to get this port available and it was not released until 9.0B.
Why this is NOT mentioned in the installation manuals is because Progress doesnot always create new documentation for any new commercial releases. ie. going from 9.0A to 9.0B. When 9.1A is released a new set of documentation will be created and SCO OS 5 will be or should be included.
README.PRO file or release notes provided specific reference to SCO OS 5. When a new commercial release is sent out and new documentation is not created, we will send a new README.PRO file and/or release notes
with pertinent information to the new commercial release.
