AppServer and remote r-code location
AppServer can access r-code located on a different NT server; however,
this requires specific settings.
Follow the following steps for your AppServer to execute remote files:
1. Edit the property services within NT Services (button "Startup...")
of "ProService for 8.3B" ans start it using an account that has
access to the mapped drive where the r-code files are located.
This will not work when using "System Account" since it has no
Network Access, it sees only local devices
2. Logout from the NT Server and logon again under the user account
set for ProService
3. Remove the following key from the Registry Entry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\PSC\PROGRESS\8.3B\Winchar Startup\PROPATH
4. Update the following key to set it to the wanted value including
the remote drive:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\PSC\PROGRESS\8.3B\Winchar Startup\PROPATH
