Where does ODBC Data Source Administrator get driver info?
SUMMARY: This document will explain where the ODBC Data Source
Administrator gets all ODBC driver information from.

STEP BY STEP DETAILS:
When ODBC drivers get installed, dll's and supporting dll's go into
the winnt\system32 directory be default. The winnt\system32
directory is where the ODBC Administrator looks for ODBC driver
information. During Progress installs, we put a copy of that ODBC
driver in DLC\bin\system directory.
In situations where one installs 2 ODBC drivers with the same name,
its good practice to check the winnt\system32 directory to see what
version, file size, etc... the ODBC Administrator is picking up when
setting up a Data Source Name (DSN).
