FACT(s) (Environment):

SYMPTOM(s):
Progress 8.2x and 8.3x database conversion utilities are not available after a Progress 9.x installation.
CAUSE:
The "custom" installation method was selected at install time.
FIX:
The Progress 8.2x and 8.3x database utilities are installed in directories under the $DLC/bin directory (%DLC%\bin for the Win32 operating platforms). These directories are:
$DLC/bin/82dbutils -> UNIX
$DLC/bin/83dbutils -> UNIX
%DLC%\bin\82dbutils -> Win32
%DLC%\bin\83dbutils -> Win32
To load these utilities when performing a custom installation, be sure to install the components "Legacy v8.2 DB Utilities" or "Legacy v8.3 DB Utilities", for the appropriate Progress 8.x version. Additionally, the "complete" installation method will also install these directories (i.e. utilities).
