SYMPTOM(s):
GPF is seen during installation of Progress 9.0B
The setup installation GPFs when entering Progress 9.0B license and control codes, on a system that already has Oracle 8.0 installed
CAUSE:
The problem is caused when TNSNAMES.ORA is large (in one case, 1779 bytes)
FIX:
To workaround the GPF, shut down all ORACLE services (from the "Services" item in the Control Panel), and rename the directory containing ORACLE to ensure that the Progress setup cannot find it.
