Connecting to Progress database on Unix generates GPF

INTRODUCTION:
=============
This KnowledgeBase notebook entry should describe
how to avoid GPF generation when there is client
trying to connect to Progress database on Unix and
only GPF without any error in log file is generated.
STEP BY STEP DETAILS:
=====================
This type of error occurred to several customers and
was solved by increasing the NPROC kernel variable.
On some Unix systems there can be an error generated
in the system log file (/usr/adm/syslog usually).
