SYMPTOM(s):
GPF is generated when connecting to Oracle 8.x
CAUSE:
%ORACLE_HOME%/bin not within System PATH
FIX:
The PATH variable is correctly updated by the ORACLE installation, hence %ORACLE_HOME%\bin should already be present. But there are times, when the PATH may have been manually modified, therefore some variables may have been excluded. Enter %ORACLE_HOME%\bin within system PATH.
