Installation on HP Machines - CART and 4MM DAT Tapes
When installing Progress on an HP machine with a CART tape, all of the
files on the tape are unpacked with the initial cpio command. The
installation is then run from disk with the files already in the
specified directory.
The reason for this is that HP machines do not have non-rewinding CART
tape devices and therefore our standard method of installation is not
supported.
For 4MM DAT tapes, you must enter a rewind tape device and a
non-rewind tape device during the installation, or you will see
errors indicating that some files cannot be found or opened.
