kbase 18960
INTRODUCTION:
=============
if you use the mount command listed in the installation notes:
mount -F cdfs -r -o cdcase /device-name /mount-point
you may receive the following error while installing the EDOC:
ebtrc.dummy, 17 bytes, 1 tape blocks
ebtexec, 3092 bytes, 7 tape blocks
rm -f "/mot/devl/pride/home2/psviewer/3.1.1/bin.Z"
===>> ERROR: A required installation source file,
"/cdrom/pscfonts/psres.upr", does not exist.
Installation aborted.
Executing "ls -al /mount-point" will not show the /pscfonts directory
at all.
WHY YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS:
==========================
The mount command listed for HP/UX 11 in the installation notes does
work for installing other Progress products.
PROCEDURAL APPROACH:
====================
Before requesting replacement media try the following:
mount -F cdfs -r /device-name /mount-point
If "ls -al /mount-point" still does not show the /pscfonts directory,
place the CD on a regular PC (Win95, WinNT) and open the Explorer to
look at the directory structure. If /pscfonts is missing, please
contact your sales representative to request replacement media.
Otherwise, execute "man mount" to find what other options you may use
with the mount command.
Once the correct CD has been mounted properly, execute:
/mount-point/setup.psc to install.
