Developers sometimes have a need to write nested transactions into their business applications. At this writing (June 1999), the SQL-92 engine that is shipped with Progress, does NOT support nested transactions. The syntax for starting a transaction in SQL-92 is 'Begin Work', and that statement is not currently supported.
