There are many problems deploying applications that use Microsoft's COMCTL32.OCX. The problems seem to stem from the fact that the different Windows versions (95, 98, NT) all have different versions of the OCX (and its required support files) installed.
It is *HIGHLY* recommended that before developing any applications using this OCX you should go to the following URL then download and install the latest version of this OCX (it is compatible with all Windows versions (95, 98, NT).

You should also make certain that your installation software (Wise, Installshield, etc) installs the same files that Microsoft's install does.
