SYMPTOM(s):
Connection refused when using ODBC to connect to OE database
Same error is displayed when used sqlexp to connect the the database using JDBC
[DataDirect][ODBC OPENEDGE driver]Connection refused. Verify Host Name and Port Number.
Database is configured through OpenEdge Explorer
The SQL Broker is setup when the database is already running with 4GL broker
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
OpenEdge 10.2x
CAUSE:
Never restarted the database after the sql broker setup on the OpenEdge Explorer
FIX:
Restart the database to start the SQL broker through OpenEdge Explorer
