Kbase 18915: Apptivity Doesn't Show Schema Changes w. Progress & Openlink
Autor   Progress Software Corporation - Progress
Acesso   Público
Publicação   30/05/2001
Applies to Apptivity, Openlink 3.x

SUMMARY:

Apptivity does not show schema modifications made after the initial
.dat file is generated. This file is used to determine the metaschema
information for the database.

OpenLink uses the tableview .dat file to determine the metaschema
information for the database and this is what is used by Apptivity to
display tables in the Query Editor.

If the .dat file is not regenerated, changes will show up in the
Openlink C++ Demo tool or MS Query but not in the Apptivity Query
Editor.

EXPLANATION:

Setup.p needs to be run again against the database to regenerate the
tableview .dat (i.e to add the new table information to the tableview
.dat file). See the 'Installing Apptivity' doc for more information.

This is not an Apptivity or Progress bug. It is the way Openlink
currently works.
