SYMPTOM(s):
Extended characters cannot be added to user names in the Data Dictionary.
Adding user names in the Data Dictionary results in error 274.
Entering user names into the User table using and email address (e.g. <username>@progress.com) results in error 274.

CAUSE:
This is expected behavior. The Data Dictionary does not allow characters below ASCII value 32 and "#*,!@" in user names.
FIX:
Do not use characters below ASCII value 32 and "#*,!@" in user names.
