Getting a timeout message trying to start a database via Procontrol
Found erros 6044, 9466 and 43 with errno 3 in the database log file
The drive type could not be determined for <driveletter>: (6044)
File <filename> is on a remote device. (9466)
** Cannot find or open file <file-name>, errno = <number>. (43)
** Cannot find or open file <file-name>, errno = 3. (43)
FACT(s) (Environment):
Database created using mapped drive to a local drive
Database contains full path name for database extent file listed in error 43 using mapped drive instead of local drive
Trying to start database using local drive
Using local drive
Windows
Progress 9.x
CAUSE:
Database cannot be be created using mapped drive and started using local drive
FIX:
Choose one of the following:
1) to use the local drive, run prostrct list to update the .st, then edit the .st file to contain only local drive and run prostrct repair.
OR
2) aways use the mapped drive to start database.
