SYMPTOM(s):
Getting Windows error access denied using input through from telnet session to get IPC share from windows 2003 server
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows
Progress/OpenEdge Product Family
CAUSE:
NET USE statement to map share was not configured before launching Progress / OpenEdge.
FIX:
Progress / OpenEdge relies on the Windows operating system for access to files / directories.
If no file / directory access is available to the Windows user launching the Progress / OpenEdge session then no file / directory access will be possible.
If network directory access is desired then it may be necessary to map network drives permanently through the Windows GUI interface or with the NET USE command line utility.
