FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
OpenEdge 10.2x
OpenEdge Explorer 10.2x
CAUSE:
The database was started via OpenEdge Explorer with a specific configuration. While the database was running, the configuration for the database was deleted and recreated - in order to change the name of the configuration. The dbagent for the database is not aware of this change.
FIX:
There are two ways to fix this issue:
Method 1:
1) Disconnect the dbagent process Via Promon/Proshut
2) Restart the dbagent process only via the new database configuration control screen. This should refresh the configuration and display the db as running.
Method 2:
1) Proshut the database from the command line
2) Restart the database via the OpenEdge Explorer tool.
