SYMPTOM(s):
AppServer agent gets stuck in a sending state
AppServer agent consumes NO CPU
AppServer agent cannot be terminated (even with kill -9 as root)
FACT(s) (Environment):
IBM AIX 6.1
OpenEdge 10.x
CAUSE:
IBM introduced a bug into their JFS file system
FIX:
Either roll back to AIX 6.1 TL4 or contact IBM Support and ask for a patch. The filename for the patch (as reported to us by a customer) is IZ90483651.101213.epkg.Z.
