SYMPTOM(s):
The admin server's java process is consuming a larger than expected amount of CPU.
When starting the AdminServer, the java process spawned starts consuming a large amount of CPU.
FACT(s) (Environment):
HP-UX 11.11
OpenEdge 10.2B 64-bit
The system is running HPUX 11.1 GOLDBASE 11i 2006
This is a new installation and the AdminServer's java process always starts consuming higher than expected CPU when the AdminServer is started.
CAUSE:
The current operating system is below the published requirements in the OpenEdge Product and Availability Guide.
FIX:
Update the operating system to the latest patch levels, or at least to to the following minimum required levels as stated in the OpenEdge Product and Availability Guide:
HP-UX 11iv1(11.11) + 12/2002 quality pack + GOLDBASE11i June 2007 + TOUR 3.1 Transport Optional Upgrade Release + PHKL_28512 POSIX_AIX JFS patch
