GOAL:
What scale does Promon R&D option 3 sub-option 5 use when measuring reads, writes, deletes, and updates?
GOAL:
What unit of measure does Promon R&D option 3 sub-option 5 use when measuring reads, writes, deletes, and updates?
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
OpenEdge 10.x
FIX:
In Promon
R&D menu
option 3 Other Displays...
option 5 I/O Operations by User by Table
The unit of measure is record fragments (recids).
If a record is split into multiple fragments each record fragment must be counted when performing a record read. It is therefore possible to see multiple records listed as read when logically only one record has been displayed for a query if the record is stored in multiple record fragments.
