GOAL:
Is there a way to control WebSpeed agent so that when the messenger request is canceled, the agent stop processing the request?
GOAL:
How to control WebSpeed agent so it stops processing messenger request when the request is canceled?
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
OpenEdge 10.2x
FIX:
There is no way to check the messenger connection from the ABL. Therefore, the WebSpeed agent can not be controlled.
There is a new feature put on the OE10.2B to control the ABL client which is STOP-AFTER specified time. The STOP-AFTER works with any ABL client if it is coded in the ABL program. The problem is that how would one know when to stop it and when not, so STOP-AFTER in this case may not be helpful because it could stop the processing when the user actually wants to run the report all the way through.
