SYMPTOM(s):

Getting error 10215 when trying to start a replication enabled database.

The executable started by the DB Service manager ended in error. (10215)

FACT(s) (Environment):

Target replication database has not been started yet.
The repl.properties file for the source database exists.
All Supported Operating Systems
Progress/OpenEdge Product Family
OpenEdge Replication

CAUSE:

The target.repl.properties file has not been put in place for the target database.

FIX:

1. Copy the target.repl.properties file located in the properties subdirectory of the OpenEdge Replication installation.
2. Place the new file in the same directory as your target database with the name of your target database name ie. targetdbname.repl.properties.
3. Change the targetdbname.repl.properties file based on your specific configuration needs.
