It is possible to connect an OpenEdge Client 10.0x to an OpenEdge Database version 10.1B where Auditing is enable?
Login refused: The connecting client cannot support an auditing-enabled database. (12701)
Auditing is Enable in the Database 10.1B
Client and server are not running the exact same version and service pack
FACT(s) (Environment):
OpenEdge Client 10.0x
OpenEdge 10.1B
OpenEdge 10.1B 64-bit
All Supported Operating Systems
CAUSE:
It is not possible to do this kind of connection and the reason is because both client and server must be audit aware. Versions previous to 10.1x are unaware about auditing.
FIX:
Upgrade client to OpenEdge 10.1x where audit features are avaliable.
