GOAL:
What is the prostrct list command used for?
GOAL:
What does the command prostrct list do?
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
Progress 9.x
OpenEdge 10.x
FIX:
The prostrct list command when ran against a database creates and/or will update an existing structure file for a database.
The command syntax is:
prostrct list dbname filename.st
If a filename is not provided, then a dbname.st file will be created in the directory where the command is issued.
This utility can be ran when the database is online or offline.
If any changes are made to a database, the recommendation is that the prostrct list command be ran to update the existing structure file with the current information. This utility is also helpful in verifying that changes made to the database structure (like adding or removing areas and/or extents) completed successfully.
