SYMPTOM(s):

AdminServer fails to start database server with error 8619 and no entries are written in the database log file

** This process terminated with exit code 1. (8619) (JUNMsg024)

FACT(s) (Environment):

No entries recorded in the database log file.
#Lock table entries set to 10000000

CAUSE:

High value for the Lock Table Entries parameter causes huge amount of shared memory to be allocated causing the server process to fail at startup.

FIX:

Decrease value for Lock Table Entries parameter in database defaultConfiguration to a lower, reasonable value.
